Blakely trail run

A fun jaunt with some hockey boys...5.5 miles up and over a ridge, down to a harbor for a snack, cricket catching, hockey mom chasing (and scaring - screeching eliciting nasty look from trail-goers!) and then yogurt. Oh - also did some crumbly dirt cliff scaling on the way back which was too technical to take pictures of while coaching boys down. That was honestly their favorite part.

Marmot Pass

Dave and I took 5 boys up Marmot Pass - 12 mile hike roundtrip. This is a beautiful hike, one that's been on my list. None of the usual parents could go, but it was a beautiful day and we decided to just go for it. We borrowed Darrel's truck to cram everyone in! Dave got to test the Jet Boil at Camp Mystery to make some hot chocolate for the kids. I ate crickets with Carver! ICK!!! It was a long hike, but the kids did great. On the way home we got to see the Bood Super Moon Lunar Eclipse, or whatever that was called! It was beautiful to watch the blush rose moon move through phases as we drove east from the hike.

I hate that they have us trapped by this gimmick, but it's important to the boys. The second pack had the MOST EXPENSIVE CARD of the series!
